Raul Santiago

Raul Santiago is the founder of SoHo Dance which began in New York and eventually moved to the West Coast to become SoHo Dance LA. Born in New York, Raul spent his teen years in D.C. without a clear direction in life. What changed that was dance.

At 19, Raul’s raw talent was discovered just dancing in a club. He was afforded extensive training in all the ballroom dances and subsequently hired to teach at a leading ballroom studio. He quickly realized his talent for dancing was equal to his passion for helping people learn how to dance, and personalizing the instruction for every level of dancer, from teaching a beginner the very basics to training and coaching students and professionals to become champions at nationally acclaimed competitions.

Since 2004, Raul has won a record 10 championships including the 2016 IHSC World Hustle Championship and the 2018 World Latin Cup with his accomplished dance partners. Also a gifted choreographer, he and the SoHo Dance Company have performed and taught in over 50 cities and 10 countries worldwide.
